Allieds Interpreters Corporation has been acting as an independent agent that bears the academic concern of translation and interpretation. With a team of four full-time experienced translators we have had the pleasure of successfully completing many high-profile projects. It is our policy to work together as a team and all translated works are subject to two full editing procedures prior to submission to ensure that we are providing the utmost quality to our clients. In additional to literal translation, our staff is able to capture the essence of a text, in keeping with the relevant genre and style. We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards and providing quality, error-free translations. Iraqi’s Military Police manuals project, Tri-Service Company Jordan Central Bank Annual Report Civil Service Bureau Annual Report Arab Potash Company, Annual Report 2003 Civil Service Website Beginning and Development of Translation in the Arab World (research) Technical Manuals for Ericsson of Sweden, Iraqi Branch Project for Cost Recovery and Sustainability for Family Planning in Jordan - Phase 2, JSI Research and Training Institute, Inc. (JOR – 278 – 01 – 00208.01), 20/2/2002. In addition to the above we have undertaken a series of international political and scientific research translation projects in the fields of medicine, engineering, earth moving and economics. This varied experience, along with our excellent reputation, has equipped us to carry out works in multiple areas, which gives us a unique competitive edge in the area of translation. Whilst providing excellent translation services, our corporation also aims to contribute to the translation community in Amman. Working closely with universities in Jordan we regularly provide training and experience opportunities to newly qualified translators and interpreters. We aim to enhance the cooperation with international societies and institutions in the field of translation and to promote its standing, prepare research and studies, and to work toward unifying the international terms of translation that will elevate the level of the integrated translated text. b) Resource Plan: In order to enable us to carry out high-standard translations and interpretation, our office is equipped with the latest technology. We have a number of resources at our disposal, including dictionaries, writing references, and constant IDSL Internet access. Moreover we have our own library containing all the necessary references and indices related to our work. In addition, Allieds interpreters have a scheduled plan to expand our facilities and the number of staff members for the approaching future. All of our staff are highly computer literate and able to maximize these resources to the highest benefit. In our office we have several Compaq computers, laptops and Hewlett Packard Laser Jet printers at our disposal. Our computers and accompanying software are multi-language enabled, including registered Arabic / English Microsoft Office Suites. c) Methodology: Upon receiving the documents to be translated copies will be distributed to the staff involved (including the Translation & Office Manager, four Translators and the Editing Officer) for them to read and highlight should any areas need special attention. After that the staff will have a meeting and discuss the document to ensure that the overall essence and style of the text is agreed upon by every one involved. The document will then be separated and distributed to the four translators according to their specialty; each translator will then start to translate their sections, working directly from the document to the computer. This stage will be done under the supervision of the Translation & Office Manager who is at hand to offer guidance and assistance. Once the separate sections are completed they will be reviewed by the Editing Officer and returned to the Translators for amendments if necessary. After all edits are complete the document will be compiled and sent to the Translation & Office Manager for a final revision. Any amendments thereafter will be negotiated between the Translation and Office Manager and the Editing Officer. Once both are satisfied, the document will either be printed and delivered or emailed as per the Client’s preferences.
