The King Hussein Foundation (KHF) was established by a Royal Decree in 1999 as a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization to serve as an enduring commitment to the late King’s humanitarian vision and legacy. The Foundation's mission is to further King Hussein’s lifelong commitment to peace, sustainable development and cross-cultural understanding through programs that promote education and leadership; and peace and democracy throughout the Middle East. KHF is an umbrella organization, comprised of several unique institutions and programs, of which the Noor Al Hussein Foundation is a core component in implementing comprehensive community development programs. KHF’s pioneering structures, programs, and approaches remain models of distinction and innovation to be emulated throughout Jordan and the Middle East region Under the Patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah and the Chairmanship of Her Majesty Queen Noor, the King Hussein Foundation seeks to inspire and support future generations to achieve tangible progress within their communities. The Foundation also strives to equip dedicated and compassionate future leaders and peace builders with access to resources and experience enabling them to achieve their full potential.
